Disclaimer
This Disclaimer applies to the OJSP Patient Support Programme, the portal at support.ojsp.in, diet charts, educational content and all programme material, operated by [OJSP legal entity]. Read it with the Patient Safety & Scope Statement, Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. On any question of scope or patient safety, the Patient Safety Statement prevails.
OJSP PRODUCTS DO NOT TREAT, CURE, CONTROL OR REVERSE DIABETES.
They are Ayurvedic products intended to support general wellbeing alongside proper medical care. They are not a substitute for any prescribed medicine, and never a reason to change one.
NOBODY MONITORS YOUR READINGS. If you feel unwell or a reading worries you — contact your doctor, or call 112. Do not wait for anyone here.
1. General information only
Content on the portal, in diet charts and in programme material is general information. We take reasonable care over accuracy but make no representation as to completeness, currency or suitability for you. It cannot account for your circumstances, your other conditions, your medicines or your kidney function.
2. We are not a healthcare provider
OJSP is a company that sells Ayurvedic products. This programme is support and education. We are not a clinic, not a hospital, not a healthcare provider, and not your doctor.
Nothing in this programme creates a doctor-patient relationship, and nothing in it replaces the one you have with your own doctor.
3. No treatment or cure claims
Nothing in this programme claims, and nothing should be read as claiming, that any OJSP product:
- cures, reverses or eliminates diabetes;
- treats, controls or manages diabetes;
- reduces or removes the need for medicine or insulin;
- lowers blood sugar or HbA1c;
- prevents complications of diabetes;
- works like a medicine, or better than one;
- produces any guaranteed result, or any result within a stated time.
If any staff member, distributor, retailer or advertisement tells you otherwise, they are wrong and they are breaking our rules. Report it to [[email protected]]. We would rather lose a sale than have someone stop their medicine.
4. Why we say so little — the law
You may notice this programme never promises results. That is deliberate, and it is legally required.
The Drugs and Magic Remedies (Objectionable Advertisements) Act, 1954 is a criminal statute prohibiting the advertising of remedies for a list of conditions — and diabetes is on that list. Any company in this category promising to cure or control diabetes is breaking that law.
A practical way to use this. When you see an Ayurvedic product advertised as curing diabetes, reversing it, or letting you stop insulin — that advertisement is unlawful.
Treat it as a warning sign about the seller, not as evidence that the product is stronger than ours.
5. Never change your medicines
Continue every medicine your doctor has prescribed, at the dose prescribed, until that doctor tells you otherwise.
Not because you feel better. Not because readings improved. Not because a supplement seems to help. Only your prescribing doctor may change your medication.
Stopping insulin can cause diabetic ketoacidosis within days, which can be fatal. Stopping oral medicines can allow sugar levels to rise dangerously, often silently. Feeling well is not evidence that medicine is no longer needed — diabetes damages the body long before symptoms appear.
If your control has genuinely improved and you want to reduce medication, that is a reasonable conversation to have — with your doctor, not with us.
6. Nothing is being monitored
When you enter a reading, nobody sees it in real time. There is no clinician reviewing entries, and no automatic alert goes to anyone.
A dangerous reading entered at midnight is read by nobody until you act on it yourself.
This is the assumption most likely to cause harm here. A portal that asks for your sugar every day naturally feels like being looked after. If that feeling delays a phone call to your doctor by even a few hours, it has done damage. We would rather be blunt now.
7. We do not interpret readings
- The portal does not say whether a reading is high, low, safe or concerning.
- It does not know your target range — that is set by your doctor and differs from person to person, particularly with age, pregnancy, kidney disease or a history of low sugars.
- It does not flag anything, and the absence of a warning means nothing.
- Any general danger-sign guidance shown in the portal is educational and is not a substitute for medical assessment.
8. We record what you enter
The portal stores what you type. It does not verify readings, cannot detect an implausible number, and cannot know whether you tested correctly or whether your meter is accurate.
A neat chart built from wrong numbers looks just as convincing as one built from right ones — and it will mislead your doctor. Enter carefully.
9. Progress charts prove nothing
An improving trend is not evidence that any product caused it. Many things change at once — diet, activity, weight, season, stress, other illness, medicine adjustments, and simply paying more attention.
Attributing an improvement to a supplement is exactly the reasoning that leads someone to stop their medicine.
Progress views show your own record back to you. Their value is that you can show them to your doctor, who can interpret them properly. A chart is never a reason to change treatment.
10. Diet charts
- Charts are general dietary guidance, not personalised prescriptions, and do not account for your kidney function, other conditions, allergies or medicines.
- Where a chart conflicts with your own doctor or dietitian, follow them.
- Following a chart does not replace medicine and does not treat diabetes.
- Do not use a chart if pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have kidney disease, liver disease or heart failure, without your clinician's approval.
- Anyone with a history of disordered eating should approach calorie-based plans only with their clinician involved.
- If you feel unwell after a dietary change — particularly light-headed, shaky or sweaty — treat it as possible low blood sugar, act as your doctor advised, and stop the change.
11. Calorie level selection
A calorie level may only be selected by a doctor or qualified dietitian — never by sales staff, support staff, a distributor, or you alone.
A level set too low can cause dangerous low blood sugar in someone taking insulin or certain tablets. This is not a formality.
The portal records who selected the level and when, and that record cannot be edited afterwards. Staff who select or suggest a level are removed from the programme.
12. What our staff are
Our support team are support staff, not clinicians. They cannot advise on medicines, cannot interpret readings, cannot diagnose, and cannot comment on symptoms. Nothing they say is medical advice.
Where you describe something urgent, they have one answer — contact your doctor or call 112 immediately. They will not assess you or tell you to wait, because they are not qualified to, and pretending otherwise would be dangerous.
13. The label prevails
Product composition, dosage, storage, cautions and any licensing are as stated on the product label and in its regulatory approvals. The label prevails over anything on this portal, in any material, or said by anyone. Read it, and keep it.
14. Interactions and other conditions
Tell your doctor about every supplement you take, and show them the label.
Herbal products can interact with prescribed medicines. Some patients do not mention supplements because they expect disapproval — but a doctor who knows can watch for problems, and one who does not is working blind.
- Tell your surgeon and anaesthetist before any surgery.
- Tell your doctor if you have kidney or liver disease, or are on dialysis.
- Tell your obstetrician if you are pregnant or planning pregnancy — do not use products or charts in pregnancy without approval.
- Stop and seek advice if you notice any new symptom after starting anything.
15. No diagnosis, no screening
This programme does not diagnose diabetes or anything else, does not screen for complications, and does not detect kidney, eye, nerve or heart problems. Your routine checks — HbA1c, eyes, feet, kidneys — remain your doctor's job and must continue. Being in this programme is not a reason to skip any of them.
16. Testimonials and results
Individual experiences vary and prove nothing about what will happen for you. Any figures about improvement, satisfaction or outcomes are illustrative and are not promises.
We do not publish patient readings, progress or success stories at all — not even anonymised. Sharing a patient's improved readings as evidence a product works is precisely what the 1954 Act prohibits for a listed condition, and it would be a use of patient health data that no consent makes appropriate for a company selling the product. See Privacy Policy §10.
17. Availability
The portal is provided on an "as available" basis without uptime commitment. It may be unavailable for maintenance or other reasons. Nothing about your diabetes care should depend on it — keep testing, keep taking your medicines, keep your appointments regardless.
18. Security representations
We maintain the measures described in the Privacy Policy §16, but no system is completely secure and we do not warrant freedom from vulnerabilities or unauthorised access. Your device, your account security and who else can see your phone are your responsibility.
19. Third parties and links
Links to third-party sites are provided for convenience and do not imply endorsement. Third-party names and marks belong to their owners. A doctor or dietitian associated with the programme acts in their own professional capacity, and we are not responsible for their independent clinical judgement.
20. Disclaimer of warranties
THE PROGRAMME, PORTAL, CHARTS AND CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR STATUTORY.
WE GIVE NO MEDICAL OR CLINICAL WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT ANY PRODUCT WILL HAVE ANY EFFECT; THAT ANY DIET CHART IS SUITABLE FOR YOU; THAT YOUR CONDITION WILL IMPROVE OR NOT WORSEN; THAT ANY READING IS ACCURATE OR CORRECTLY RECORDED; THAT ANYONE WILL SEE WHAT YOU ENTER; OR THAT THE PORTAL WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.
21. Limitation of liability
OUR LIABILITY IS LIMITED AS SET OUT IN TERMS OF USE §20.
IN PARTICULAR WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR: ANY DECISION YOU TAKE ABOUT YOUR MEDICINES; ANY CONSEQUENCE OF DELAYING MEDICAL CARE; ANY READING NOT BEING SEEN BY ANYONE, THE PROGRAMME NEVER HAVING CLAIMED THAT ANYONE WOULD SEE IT; ANY DIETARY CHANGE YOU MAKE; ANY OUTCOME OF USING OR NOT USING A PRODUCT; OR THE INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT OF ANY DOCTOR OR DIETITIAN.
Nothing here limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
22. Governing law and contact
Governed by the laws of India and subject to Terms of Use §23. Nothing here removes your right to approach a consumer forum or any other remedy under law.
